Started work on Electrical Engineering Degree. During summers I worked for my father in law. A a master carpenter. Worked for/with his father. A master wooden ship builder. Yes. The ones with all the sails. Harry senior taught me a lot.

Dropped out
Dropped out to work for Art Caplan, attorney. He was hired from Capitol Hill. Assisted with going after the Mafia in the 50s. He taught me law. I have never had a contract or proposal that ever failed. He taught me well. after which I reenrolled in the UM and graduated in 1966.
Pittcon Industries
Worked in this company for two years. We build commercial cabinets. We did wood, plastic and metal. The biggest effort was my assignment to rehab the Elephant House at the National Zoo in Washington DC. There I worked with the Zoo's engineers and changed numerous requirements. In the process I got to know the owner of a steel mill in Baltimore. I could buy at wholesale prices. However, every time I needed something, he had product that had been abandoned. He only charged me for the material costs! Learned cabinet making, plastic display cases and welding. Became field foreman. Built in our shop and install on site.
Soils Engineer
Worked / assisted on a large portable drilling rig. We obtained soil samples for foundation engineering. I have drilled from Camp David Maryland, Charlottesville WV, Shenandoah VA to 30 miles from the Atlantic Ocean. In the process, I learned a lot about foundation design. One year.
Computer Consultant
Worked at the University of Maryland Computer Science Center. Five years. Assisted all with their statistical analysis and computer programming. Took Computer Science graduate courses. Then switched to Early Childhood education.
Worked for Digital Equipment Corporation for twenty years. Assisted management with numerous projects. Solved all problems for many large corporations. GE GM Energizer Battery Atlantic Richfield.
Head Counselor
A friend from graduate school hired me as head counselor for a halfway house in Alexandria. Prior youth that became words of the state where taken to a jail! Two years.
Raised Chickens and Quail
Started with chickens around 2008 when grass hoppers devoured my Swiss Chard! Not only bought chicks but incubated many. Continuing in 2026.
